Materials: gel medium, acrylic and enamel paint, plastic tag fasteners on art board 2015
Dimensions: 16"w x 28"h
Inspiration: I'm disturbed by the amount of plastic that is in our modern lives. The plastic fasteners attaching tags to clothing are everywhere. I challenged myself to transform them from the ubiquitous plastic into art. This piece plays with perspective by offering an ambiguous perspective between a topographical overview and a close-up that resembles spores or hair follicles.
